As per the California Public Records Act, I hereby request the detailed information related to the June 11-17, 2020 public survey that Council District 11's office (Mike Bonin) conducted titled "REIMAGINED PUBLIC SAFETY", an online Google Survey whereby he published the results on or about June 18 on his website, 11thdistrict.com. (source: https://11thdistrict.com/news/public-safety-survey-results/).
Given that he used a Google Form within Google Documents to capture results from those surveyed, the results are stored in a Google Spreadsheet, which can be exported in a digital format (screenshot attached).
Therefore, I am requesting the following information:
- Detailed, complete row-level results exported in a CSV or Microsoft Excel Format including answers and zip codes of respondents. Mr. Bonin may de-identify and anonymize data if he wishes, but recognize that a respondent's zip code is not classified as Personally Identifiable Information ("PII").
- Mr. Bonin has stated that there were approximately 2,500 respondents to your survey. Therefore, his dataset should include approximately 2,500 records / rows.
- Should Mr. Bonin choose to anonymize the IP address of respondents, please provide a partially visible list of IP addresses which should include the first octet (left of the first period) along with a unique count for the number of times a submission from that IP address occurred. Note that the first octet of an IP address is not PII.
NAB1819 does permit the requester to use equipment with reasonable accommodations so long as it does not damage the requested documents and files. This may include use of electricity to power a scanner and/or laptop device for the purpose of digitizing documents on site. Alternatively (and preferably), Mr. Bonin's office may provide these documents in a digital format. I can arrange for a dropbox / upload link if the aggregated filesize exceeds what your outbound mailserver allows.
